At the start of this week I learned of a big, ugly, oversized, pickup truck with a license plate that read UOYNWOI. It also had a rebel flag license plate cover, and that Nazi Iron Cross symbol that people wear on their clothes and sunglasses. The reason that this is important to me is that UOYNWOI viewed in your car’s rear view mirror reads IOWNYOU, that’s “I own you”.
As much as that weighed on my heart, and mind I had to get the idea of chasing this person down and confronting whomever I might find in that gas hog. My only consolation was this idiot was paying almost $3.50 for gas and only getting about eleven miles to the gallon.
I’m now looking forwards to my youngest son’s high school graduation. He is planning on attending a college where he will earn a degree in criminal justice. He wants to become an FBI agent. I am so proud.
In addition to my son’s graduation my sister graduated from RCC; one of my nieces is graduating from middle school, going into high school; another niece is going from elementary school into middle school; Oh yeah, I got my Bachelors Degree this year.
I’ve had two different meetings of a Human Relations Commission sub-committee canceled for lack of quorum, and I really like the purpose of this particular group. When we finally did get around to having the meeting I must admit it did go well, and we did get some things accomplished.
A friend and fellow community activist had quadruple bypass surgery on his heart. His friends, fellow church members, and his brother will be handling his business and transporting him around until he is better. I even get a chance to help were I can.
My oldest son moved to Maryland to “start over”. He took my brand new granddaughter with him. He did this on the spur of the moment. An opportunity presented itself and he pounced on it. My loss, I hope he gained.
The Juneteenth Celebration went well and I got an unexpected award from the committee. We had at least 3000 attendees of all races, religions, and personal beliefs, all celebrating the end of slavery in the western United States. I wonder if that truck driver was there.
